Group Captain (Dr) R Srinivasan VSM (Retd) served in Indian Air Force for 32 years and retired in 2018. He holds an MSW, LLB and PG Diploma in International Humanitarian Law. He was awarded PhD by Pondicherry University in Political Sociology. He is also a SATS alumni of ICRC.

He is an internationally published SCOPUS indexed author with 09 books, 13 Book Chapters and a number of papers on International Relations, Governance, Regionalism, political economy, women & armed conflicts, etc. He is also a Senior Fellow in Defense Research and Studies which is a Think Tank on strategic affairs.

He was conferred Visisht Seva Medal (VSM) for his distinguished services of a high order to the country by Honorable President of India in 2012. He was also commended by AOC-in-C HQTC in 2008.

He is currently an Independent Researcher and Publisher cum Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Journal of Social and Strategic studies (ISSN Online: 2582-9645). He is also the Founder-Director of Praghna Centre for Research, a non-profit company engaged in promoting research and publication in social sciences/strategic studies.
